AAA - Cary

I’ve taken my car to AAA before and they’ve always been great, but this time was really disappointing. They completely exaggerated the issue and tried to charge me way too much (over 4k for something that’s $700). The guy when I was picking my car up was rude when I declined the service he decided to make some comments that made me feel awkward for “being a women at a car shop.” Definitely not the experience I expected and I don’t recommend. Go somewhere else if you like your money and being a woman.

Disappointed in the bait and switch on oil change pricing. I have been going here for 5 years and they are claiming price increases, with no advance warning and so their coupon is very misleading and basically worthless. Will need to consider other service centers for our cars.

Hello!! My rear license plate light quit working and I took it by the AAA repair shop on Highway 54 in Cary and they fixed it and got me back on the road! They were very nice and professional and explained everything to me and did a fantastic job! Brandon was Awesome! Thank you and I’m bringing in my van next week for service.🙂

I would give this location 0 stars if I could. I came in for an inspection in January to renew my registration. They let me know that my windshield wipers needed to be replaced to pass inspection since they weren't sitting perfectly flush against the windshield. I gave them the green light to replace for me. A few days later when it rained, the wipers stopped working as I was driving on the highway. I took the vehicle back here and they told me that the motor died so the motor and linkage need to be replaced and that would cost $1700. I asked about the timing of the wiper service relative to the wiper failure and they brushed that off. I was very skeptical so I did some research and learned that if you turn on the vehicle without starting the engine, you should be able to hear the motor running if you turn on the wipers. I could hear that so while I don't have proof that the linkage was damaged during the initial inspection service, I have proof that they lied about motor failure. I also replaced the plastic bushing on the linkage myself for $3 and my wipers are functioning fine now. I've already contacted AAA for a refund for both service dates but wanted to share my experience he

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at the AAA Insurance and Service Center. I’m an Elite AAA member, which I understand is one of the highest membership levels, so I expected priority service and professional treatment. I arrived at the center at 9:30 AM to have my tire changed. They told me it would take about two hours, so I left my car and came back at 2:15 PM — only to find that nothing had been done. When I asked, they said they would check my car in the next hour. Later, they confirmed that I needed to replace my tire, which I agreed to, but then told me they didn’t have the tire in stock and that I’d have to wait more than a day. On top of that, the staff was unhelpful and rude when I tried to explain that I didn’t have time to wait that long. I ended up scheduling an appointment with Costco instead. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with an auto service center. As an Elite member, I expected respect and timely help, but I received neither. AAA really needs to improve their customer service and communication at this location
